What people don't know about you?

I have had a keen interest in entrepreneurship since I was about 10 years old. I read my first investment textbooks when I was 13, and my first student company was set up with my friends in 2012/2013.

In 2021, I was mentor of the year for Estonian student companies. Today, I am, among other things, a trainer in green inclusion and help design green environments and messages based on behavioural science.

Pet food 

A tough question with so many good choices! What I like most are foods that give me strength, energy, lots of good nutrients and good experiences. My grandmother's fresh home-grown boiled potatoes, boiled beans with butter, omelette and mushroom sauce are one of my memories, and my mother's lentil stew or borsch is another. 

Salapatt 

I sometimes drink from several glasses at once at home, so I forget the first one exists and get another one from the cupboard. I also sometimes forget to light the bathroom light when I leave the house.

What is your role in RingKarb? 

At RingKarb, I mainly work on our communications and marketing. 

Funny or embarrassing story about RingKarbi

One head chef of a restaurant told me that at first he looked at the strange dog bowls his employees brought them. He lacked faith in the system. But then he saw how 80% of the food started to go in RingKarp containers, completely changed his mind, and is today a proud member of the RingKarp network.

Five things I do for the environment

  1. I avoid buying or receiving new things and use what I already have.

  2. I keep a basket in the fridge labelled "eat first", which helps me to completely zero food waste without even thinking about it.

  3. I buy most of my hygiene products, cleaning products and food from a regular store and from a packaging-free store, Ilma Pood.

4. Look after my own wellbeing so that I can be a better help to others (including the environment).

5. I work on environmentally friendly ventures: communicating with RingKarp, researching the circular economy, training on greening and waste prevention (see Closed Ring blog).
